The Shit
I'm tired of falling into things with someone that feels right, and then turns out so wrong; fighting for something so broken it just needs to be put down and left alone.
I'm tired.
I want someone I can plan a life with; who is a bit older than I (I like older women). Tattoos; good ones. Not patchy shitty shit. *cough* Well off would help. Sure of herself and her wants, and sexually adventurous. *cough* *cough* And able to have kids. And loves dogs, if she doesn't already have one... or more.
Just... no more games. No drama. I want a straight fucking shooter. Like me.
Why is this shit so hard.

Fictional Romance
The waitress comes over to ask what he'll have; he orders a steak burger, and upgrades his side of fries to a proper Canadian dish. Poutine.
Looking over to see what this beauty is up to now; still in her chair, but now peeking at last night's sports scores on the TV, smiling as the blatant run through flashes on the screen of the Broncos crushing the Vikings. A win that is always expected. Her eyes glaze back over as the replays come on for the Patriots game. A win in his books as they ruined the Saints.
She finds her muse again for whatever she's writing and turns back to her screen and types even more furiously than before.
The waitress brings her what looks to be fish and chips, she glances up in thanks, reaching for a fry as she continues on her train of thought.
His drink arrives. He takes a swig and mumbles to himself, "What are you writing?"
Looking to the TV to watch the hockey replays life seems to fast forward. He gets up and walks over, asking her out. Next thing he knows they are out, enjoying a nice meal with a bottle of wine. Giggling as their hands meet, both reaching for the bottle at once. Feeling the warmth of her hand near his. Smiling as he gently takes her hand and kisses it.
Paying the bill, and helping her into her coat; sliding his arm around her waist, feeling her welcome it there, as if it's home. Holding the door as they leave, taking her hand in the parking lot as they walk to his truck. Helping her in so he can drive her home.
Taking her hand as he helps her out, and walks her to her front door. Waiting for a hint that maybe the night could lead somewhere more pleasant that it has already been; his heart racing as he's already flying so high.
She reaches for her keys, hesitating.
"I had a great time tonight." She smiles in agreement.
He steps close, snaking his arm behind her back feeling sparks fly in anticipation. She gasps stepping back and leaning against the door. His arm and the door the only things keeping her from the ground. He braces himself against the door with his forearm, as he squeezes her tight to keep her on her feet. Leaning forward into her, their noses brushing, breath entwining in the little space that's left between their lips. She bites her lip, aching for him to close the distance; he moves closer with millimeters to the kiss that can only be described as "perfection."
Snapped back to reality by a jostle. Still in the pub; zoned out facing the TV, now back to football scores and replays from last night.
"Oh sorry," she says after bumping him on her way out, resting a long nailed, well manicured hand on his shoulder in apology.
"No worries. Have a great day."

Tempting, Tormenting, and Tribulatious Tits
I find that men seem to focus on la boobies too much. I don't have 'em and men DON'T feel me up - for obvious reasons - but by god I get an earful.
Boys, you need to focus on the whole woman.
I am amused by breasts, and yeah I am a boob man; but that doesn't mean that's all I focus on. And I HATE hearing about... *sigh* *grumble* Just... there's more to a woman than boobs and sex. Take fuckin' note.
You have to arouse her with your mind; lead to the touch, and don't jump the gun to the "forbidden places."
Play with words, make her feel wanted. More than that; make her ache for things and don't just GIVE them to her. You're working to make her want you, have her work some to get you. Men aren't the only gender to enjoy "the chase."
Anyway...
Women with large mammary glands have them appreciated by every Joe Blow that has eyes, and is heterosexual. They even get noticed by WOMEN! And if they round the bases with a guy, THAT'S HIS MAIN FOCUS.
Even if a woman has (let's say) smaller breasts, they're still an attention getter. They are - after all - boobs.
So after I romance a woman and appreciate everything about her - from her intellect (no matter how small or large) to her mannerisms, and her body - and things turn from playful (and clothed) touching, dancing, cuddling, and so on... into more naked activities, I don't want to be able to tell that she's about tired of dudes hands on her tits, as mine get close. That pisses me off.
And yes, I have spoken with the opposite gender (whom I've been with and not) about this; I frequently hear, "Well guys focus on them and not me," or, "I have big boobs, I'm used to being ignored," and my personal favourite, "They get played with all the time."
Guys, you gotta pay equal attention to other areas of a woman's body.
Gals, they're gonna get played with. I apologize on behalf of males everywhere for having them played SO often, but they won't be ignored.
Also, I like a nice set of legs and a hot booty, so yeah I'll sink my fingers into them.
When I grab your ass I'm not shooting for... you know. I'm just enjoying myself and enjoying you.
"When you assume you make an ass out of you and me."

Inner Nerd: Super Couples
I'm not saying I will adopt a hero personality, and get powers and shit. Just he's kinda odd, and I'm not a huge fan of his person and powers enough to have giggle fits and be called "Spidey".
I was Superman for as long as I can remember, but let's face facts; Superman isn't technically a superhero. He's an alien. Just like Iron Man and Batman aren't superheroes (no offense guys). They're heroes. They're really heroic everyday people. Both rich and brilliant, but no super powers.
Don't get me wrong though, hero couples are cool too. Unfortunately I can't find a legitimate female counterpart for Iron Man, as he's either a womanizer or into Pepper Potts (who isn't a hero), and Batman & Catwoman was shot down. *grumble* And let's face it, Lois Lane? Not a hero. And I'm chilling with a young lady who knows a lot about this stuff, and wants to be a hero too. Every girl before was chill with being the Lois Lane to my Superman; it really is time for a change though. Let's face it. You've all heard about my track record.
So I like villains, but somebody else doesn't. Which means if I wanted to be a villain I'd need to be a villain with a hero female counterpart; that's so easy to find. *sigh* But right now I'm not in research mode; I'm in, "Time to go to bed because I work again tonight," mode.
So if anyone knows if Venom has a female hero counterpart (which is unlikely), I'd like to hear it.
Or if Power Girl has a male counterpart that I can't currently find, pipe up?
Or if Vampirella (I like the sound of "eternity." It sounds romantic) has an "immortal" counterpart...
I know Wolverine's immortal, but I sort want someone with their own "logo." And if one side's immortal the other must be too. And I know Wolverine has X-23, and she's hot, but she's sorta like his daughter, in the sense she's a clone of him. And that's just wrong.
Anyway, sleep maybe now?
*fingers crossed*
Let me hear what you've got! :)

Work Shenanigans
Dave comes over and I've got country playing on the radio.
Dave: Oh wow... Great. [mocks square dancing] Now all I need is a cowboy hat.
Me: I own one. :P
Dave: Well then.
Taylor Swift comes on the radio.
Me: [rolls eyes] Not Taylor Swift -
Dave: I love Taylor Swift!
Me: What?! Why?!
Dave: I would jump her bones so fast. I would just make sweet, rip roaring love to her.
Me: Oh, so not a fan of the music. Alright, yeah. She is good looking. I'd get all over that too.
Dave: Yeah, but when I finished she'd dump me and write a song about it.
We both burst out laughing.
Dave was digging through a cage of parts. Grabbed a cardboard divider to start a new layer. Cuts his hand on it.
Dave : Son of a...
Me: And that's why we wear gloves.
Dave: Shut up. It's not that bad. It's mostly 'cause I have soft hands. I use that baby soft moisturizer soap stuff. Girls like soft hands.
Me: Not where I come from.
Dave: Alright cowboy.
I smirked.
I had a good night. Dave's the humour that makes work worthwhile.

My Relationship with Netflix
K, sorry. Yeah, it's something to keep my mind focused on so I don't over think life while I fall asleep. You know me; that's what I do.
Netflix seems to be the only possible stable relationship I can keep upright and working. *sigh*
I dunno how many of you heard; mom found a puppy on the drive home Friday. That'd make dog number 5 under our roof.
He was a beautiful boxer; mostly white with a brown patch over his left eye and ear, with a block spotted pink nose. (There's pictures online. Check my Twitter; you can also check @KingOTKanines, and that website too.) He was gorgeous, regal, well behaved, and one of the smartest puppies I've met to date.
He had no tags so we didn't know who owned him, who to contact, or his name. I claimed him as my own; my parents said if no one claimed him they couldn't afford him. I said I'd take care of everything. Changed him from blasting through doors and peeing inside, to sit and stay, knowing what outside is, waiting for my permission to enter and exit rooms, and going outside to go to the washroom without barking, but learning how to get attention to go that without being annoying in the space of a night.
I've always had a slight attraction to the boxer breed. I learned more about them in having him (who I'd named Cassius Clay) for a short amount of time. They are an amazing breed. Unfortunately for me, his owners - and their family members - found him online. Mom placed him as a "found dog" on Kijiji. We had some skill testing questions for those who said he was theirs. Of course his family knew all the answers.
They were glad to have him back. They'd worried about him being outside all night. The daughter was very worried for him, and the mother said she didn't sleep. She was nearly in tears in finding him safe, and getting him back.
I was glad to see they love him so much, but I was sad for him to go. We found out his real name is Diesel.
So again, another relationship - that isn't Netflix - starts and ends, so I'm back to Netflix. I'm sure she's happy to have me all to herself.
But things didn't end there by choice; Cassius didn't have a choice of whether to go or stay, and we didn't have a choice of whether to keep him or let him go. He was their's, he is loved, and that is what matters in the end.
So another relationship I - technically - should be able to maintain properly would be my very own dog.
I have to be honest, I did enjoy the immediate companionship. I was happy to have a connection with something.
I'm hoping, once I land my job full-time and finish moving in, I can talk dad into allowing me to have a dog of my own. I feel being able to train a dog from the start will be able to help build my "portfolio" for my new business venture.
In case you were unaware or hadn't heard yet, I'm attempting to start up a job as a "canine educational handler."
The term "trainer" does sound sexy, but it infers that I teach dogs to "sit, stay, lay down, and roll over." That's not what I'm gearing towards. I'm looking to be able to help and teach owners and their dogs to live happily through whatever issues may be on the table, so to speak. Whether it be a peanut butter sandwich, or insecurities. Don't get me wrong, the "sit and stay" stuff if fun and cool, but that's not where I wanna have myself typecast, so to speak. Hence not labeling myself with it and playing with terminology.
"Canine educational handler," comes across professionally, and sounds pretty sexy too. *smirk*
Anyway, back to my subject line.
Yep, I'm watching Netflix still. Not movies currently though, so it's challenging to write up critiques to TV episodes. :S
Right now I'm watching a Netflix series, starring Kevin Spacey. It's called "House of Cards," and it is brilliant. I'm not usually into political dramas, but this one is done surprisingly well. It makes me think that Netflix clearly is doing a great job in what they do, if they have enough money to make their own series starring someone from Hollywood, and having played lead roles in many movies.
Netflix could use a better selection of shows and movies here in grand old Canada, but we are getting along quite well.
Anyway... Time for me to try and get back to sleep. Hope y'all are having a good one, and please be sure to keep in touch however you see fit. :)
Cheers!

Movie Critique - House at the End of the Street
It keeps your blood pumping and your mind working throughout.
They did a great job putting this one together. But then again, all horror movies usually fall down the same paths. This one does take a different route to get to the same end.
If you're a well versed horror movie watcher, you may be able to figure out the conclusion as it approaches.
I was surprised hold long it took me to figure it out.
The only downfalls would be that it sort of turned into a Saw movie as it started closing down, the gore wasn't majorly gorey as any horror movie watcher wants it - don't get me wrong, there is some gore, but there could've been more. They left to much to my imagination - and the lead female wasn't as attractive as I'd hoped. Don't get me wrong, Elissa (as played by Jennifer Lawrence) is attractive; she proves that jeggings can be gorgeous on a girl who has the right legs for them. But really, at times I found her mother (as played by Elisabeth Shue) more attractive. Her face - to me - seems too round.
If you're in search of a good, scary movie to sit down to for the night, this one could be the right call.

Everyone buckle up!
This means I can now focus on other things. Other things which there are very little of, where I'm at now. Awesome...
This means more time for everyone here! (I can hear the crickets. Y'all are breakin' my heart.)
So WAY back when before I got into Blogspot (previously known as "Blogger") I was on MSN Live. That is what it was called, if I'm not mistaken. It was easier for me to write more often as I always had some school crap to lip about. On TOP of that I was sort of a movie critiquer too.
What I'm getting at here is, rather than just watching movies, upon movies, upon movies; perhaps I should return to those high school, movie critiquing ways. Watch something, and then take a moment to say something about it.
I do apologize for my first attempts, as they will be terrible since it has been a while.
And no, if I fall asleep to a movie I will not write about it. Unless I fell asleep because the movie is boring; that is a different story.
Anyway, wish me luck!
And make sure to make yourself heard! Mentions on Twitter, or comments here are good. If you want me to check something out before you rush off to see it, that can be cool. I can give that a try too!
Anyway... Later!

Me and Dogs *sigh* (@cesarmillan)
Me: I like the look of pit bulls, but would never own one, and a Stafford terrier is a look alike breed with nicer colours.
Grace: Yaaaaay :D [dancing emoticon]
Grace: Are they kind? Haha.
Grace: Why you don't want a pit bull? :p
Me: Every dog's kind as long as they're raised right. I'd like a pit bull, but every community has different laws for them. Some have it so they aren't even allowed. I'd rather a dog that looks like one, and I don't need to know a community's laws before moving there. Pit bulls are treated terribly because of their name. :(
Grace: Omg. Why? :s
Me: It started with bull dogs. They were bred to fight bulls. Big strong chest and front legs, jaws that won't let go, and a short nose to get as much on as many teeth as they can. They were then bred with terriers to be faster and more agile in the ring. The sport was call bull baiting. They also were used in bear baiting. Same thing, just with bears.
Once that was made illegal, pit bulls - now a fighting breed - were turned on dogs. Dog fighting. They bred the most aggressive pit bulls to make more aggressive dogs, and then raised them terribly so all they'd want to do is kill.
All of these sports are illegal, but people still give pit bulls a bad name because of this forced breeding they've done for generations. On top of that, owners who don't know how to raise them or aren't dominant enough to keep them in line can lose control of them, and people get hurt. That, or jerks raise them and treat them bad, and then the dogs get angry and need to be corrected and trained because they were raised wrong.
I'm painfully long winded. :$

Everyone has their one perfect match.
When I say "person" in this sense, I mean like a personality. I don't mean, "Person A will spend their life looking for Person B." That's a bit ludicrous.
I mean "Person A is looking for a person who's personality matches theirs." There could be dozens, hundreds, or thousands of people who match the personality of each person, which makes a tad more sense. And yes, when someone finds the person they match up with, it may feel as though they've found the one person that they were meant to find, or spend their life trying to find.
So yes, everyone does have their perfect match. But no, you don't need to span the globe looking for one person; you just need to find a person with a suitable personality to yours.
*shrug* Makes sense to me.

Everything falling into place.
Yeah, I've sat interviews, but usually it's like, "Oh yeah! So and so says you're good. When can you start?"
I got a part-time job offer this morning from the guy who does the paper run. He delivers MOST of the papers we get in the morning; he wrote a note and stuck it in my driver's side window. Said to give him a call or text if I was interested in a job. Needless to say, I'm interested.
He caught me before we both left, and we chatted some. Ten minutes later I was tagging along for the end of this morning's run.
So perhaps finally, everything is falling into place.
:)

I'm still here!
Worked the last three nights but there was nothing really in the paper to talk about in detail - I tweeted about some though, all I needed was 140 characters or less. Also, there was nothing really on my mind so...
I didn't really get to go into the papers tonight as it's bloody busy, and they were mostly "weekend papers." So what was there last night, was there tonight too. *shrug* But anyways!
I'm off "tonight," and am having Thanksgiving with my girlfriend and my family. Later tonight.
I work again Tuesday, so if y'all really care tweet me and/or keep your fingers crossed. Mine would be crossed, but I can't type so well like that.

Phenomenal!
Most of the articles I've read and did the "Super Cliff's Notes Version" on Twitter (@MCurlyH). Explain a whole article in 140 characters or less?
Done.
Before I touch on the touchy stuff, I'd like to give a nod to a fellow Canadian. *braces for following beatings* Here's to *pauses* *whincing* Justin Bieber. Yeah you're young and newish to the entertainment industry, but I find myself needing to give you recognition for not ending or cutting short a show because of illness.
Before y'all stop reading, I promise there'll be more on other stuff, but seriously here. He vomitted twice on stage, but still powered through his show.
Now I've thrown up and continued when others would be like "Waah! I'm sicky. I need to go home," but nothing to this extent. This sort of industry is something I've never done to that scale. I've done shows sick - so sick I got told (by the director) to leave and get better. But something as large scale as that; that deserves recognition.
Good job.
Ok, on to more pressing things shall we?
Jesse - now a year and two moths - is getting better. "Who is this 'Jesse'?" you may ask. He's just some kid I read about in the paper.
At 10 months he fell in a backyard garden pond, and nearly drown. He was a real mess and was thought to never be able to recover. He couldn't swallow, see, much less move, or talk. Ok, maybe "talk" is the wrong terminology. "Use his vocal chords," fits better.
One of the family friends read about the incident in the paper and immediately called them with a suggestion to help him recover some. Something that isn't medically proven, but someone else had done and it seriously helped. The use of a hyperbaric chamber.
He's suffering from ischemic hypoxia. Now , four months down the road, doctors are astounded. They don't believe Jesse to be the same child they've been treating. He can see, he can make noise, his dystonia's been cured, he can swallow. He's getting better.
Unfortunately OHIP doesn't cover use of the hyperbaric chamber for such uses. Doctors say that there's no medical proof it works, and he may just be healing because of his age.
But you have to hand it to his mom; an hour a day in a pressurized, oxygenated atmosphere, out of her own pocket, five days a week. That's a TON of money out of pocket, and surreal dedication.
Not only that, they need to cab from the care facility to the place that ALLOWS the "off book" use of the chamber. Expensive stuff.
They're suggesting that surrounding him in an 100% oxygen atmosphere at about 5 meters below sea level can jog his idling brain cells back into drive, so to speak.
As long as there's some sort of progress, I don't see an issue with the idea. Perhaps SOME medical team could start monitoring his progress. Maybe that'll dispel any other medical authorities playing the, "That'll never work," card, and get OHIP coverage on it for anyone else who may need the treatment.
There can't possibly be only ONE almost drown person out there.

Let me hear you!
What am I gonna talk about?
Wouldn't I be a complete dick if I didn't talk about any of that? lol
I'll pass on the first one as... well, I don't really care. *shrug* Not a football guy.
NHL lockout's not much to talk about. Owners are being greedy as are the players. They should've been working this out ages ago and signed a long term collective bargaining agreement LAST time. Although it does raise the question of, "What'll come out of next year's rookies?"
I'm assuming we're losing the season, just like last time. And I do believe the next year Crosby and Ovechkin were then rookies in the same season because of it.
*sigh* Military stuff...
No offense - and I do thank the troops and special forces for doing what they do and protecting us and all - but they don't seem to fight much for us as Canadians. More for the UN and USA. Like, has any country done anything to Canada that we're fighting about? No, nothing comes to mind.
And yeah, it's good to have the stuff to use in CASE we need to, but I can't see that happening.
Europe's finances fall because Greece is painfully in debt, and that's dragging the Euro down.
Something tells me everyone wants their own currency again. *thumbs up*
As long as y'all combine again before I take another trip there, I don't care. Fix the issue.
Mother accused of attempted murder on teenage daughter. *sigh* Muslim family in Canada. Teen finds religion is smothering and wants to be a Canadian teenager. Good on her, I say.
Was out downtown with friends two nights back-to-back, called home to say she was staying out late. Good move. Unfortunately, mommy was a religious radical. "Are you a prostitute?" Was one quotation.
The father was trying to help and talk to the daughter and the mother - with kitchen knife hidden under shirt - says this is a mother daughter issue, and the father should go upstairs until she calls him. She then offers to give her daughter a back rub, and as she's lying face down tries to stab her in the back of the neck.
Wait, WHAT?!
Yes, tries to stab her. Daughter is like, "Whoa..." Mother says not to move, she'll be done in a second.
Let's just take a second here, shall we...
...
Anyway, father comes to the rescue even though the mother's like, "Let me finish."
Police are called. Mother admits to everything, but her lawyer says that confession mightn't be legitimate because she was still in the moment.
Confession was given on video tape in an interrogation room.
I call bull.
Anyway, moving on.
Chinese father of university girl (who just happens to be not heterosexual) offers $80 million to any guy to turn his daughter straight.
Dude, it's the 21st century. Get over it.
Newest novel found, unmagical. J.K. Rowling tries at an adult novel and the few interested are only interested because of Harry Potter series. So no magic, all muggle cast, and depressing story line makes it not worth the paper it's printed on.
I'm sorry, Harry Potter - yes, awesome - did start to drag at the end. It was a mix of "she lost her touch" and "there was nothing more that could half-logically happen." So really, anyone who expected her to have another go was grasping at straws. *thumbs up*

*sigh*
So I share night shifts with one other person. She's lippy about not enough work. *shrug* Apparently she's been like that since day one, but has the gall to say, "I need [such and such] days off."
Unfortunately for me, that doesn't increase my days I work. That just messes around with my schedule. Not completely fair in my eyes, but who give a crap, right?
Anyway, I told her I may start looking for more work, so I can actually afford groceries and be able to treat my girl occasionally. She said, "Don't I have another job lined up. I'm leaving."
Well that's good news, because no one here wants to work nights, so my work schedule SHOULD get filled out a little more. Shelley (who's worked here 13 or more years) says it's good Tasha's going, if she goes. She's pulled this once before apparently. *rolls eyes* But lo and behold, she swore Shelley to secrecy about her leaving, and then told me, and has yet to tell the big boss. Then two days later when the newest schedule came out hands me more shifts (which I'm very thankful for), but then books a bunch of weekends off right untill the end of the month.
I'm not saying she booked the REST of the month off, but just like... Thanksgiving weekend, the weekend after, the weekend before Halloween, AND Halloween.
Now, Thanksgiving with MY family should be okish to manage, as AJ and I live there, so I just get up a bit early for work for dinner, and then go to work when I need to.
But AJ's mom has post-poned her Thanksgiving for us, as that's an hour (or more) of a drive for us. And it was supposed to be the weekend after Thanksgiving. I thought that a safe bet, as I officially worked Thanksgiving weekend, yeah?
So, I wrote a little note on the schedule saying:
"I was sort of hoping to have Thanksgiving on the 12th & 13th. I figured as I worked the actual Thanksgiving weekend, it wouldn't be too much of a challenge."
And the only reason I worked it was because Tasha booked it off. So we shall see how this all works out. I've only asked for one day off so far, and Tasha asks for weekends all over the place. Given she has kids, but still it's annoying. *sigh*
I also messaged Tasha (she snagged my BBM pin) as she seemed to be like, "Yup, I'm leaving. And I'm leaving soon!" so I figured I'd have more work soon, and be able to snag two days I need in the next schedule.
Me: I'm curious; when is the deadline to find out about that new job? :/
Tasha: I don't know why
Me: [She turned off her phone before I could respond. The beauties of BBM.] I dunno... Was just wondering if it was sooner or later. You asked for time off right 'til the start of November, essentially.
I'll let you know how that goes. Anyway, this all makes sense to me, and AJ too as she's living it as well.
If anyone has questions, or an opinion on this, I'd LOVE to hear it!
Sorry for the rant. :$ Back to work for me now.
Time to mop the floors. *thumbs up*
